Performance

Built for heavy modpacks, not bolted on

Most hosts start to chug the moment players generate new chunks, place structures or fire up large Refined Storage networks. Our high-clock Ryzen 7900 CPUs and enterprise NVMe drives keep world generation, AE2 and Create automation, and mob-heavy farms running smoothly even under modded load.

Every plan ships with free DDoS protection, daily automatic backups, full FTP and WebFTP access and our custom panel. Upgrade your RAM tier without losing a single block of your world.

How much RAM does a modded server need?

Modded Minecraft hosting, answered

The questions we get the most from people setting up their first modded server.

01

How much RAM do I need for a modded Minecraft server?

Light Forge or Fabric packs run comfortably on 6 to 8 GB. Medium packs like Better Minecraft or DawnCraft feel best on 8 to 12 GB. Kitchen-sink packs like All The Mods 10 or Craftoria are recommended on 14 GB or more. You can upgrade your plan any time without losing your world.
02

Can I install any CurseForge or FTB modpack?

Yes. Our panel ships with the full CurseForge and Feed-The-Beast libraries built in, plus a one-click installer for over 200 of the most popular packs. You can also upload your own ZIP bundle through WebFTP if you run a custom pack.
03

Can I add my own mods to a modpack?

Absolutely. You can upload any additional .jar files through the file manager or SFTP at any time. Keep an eye on mod compatibility and the loader version (Forge, Fabric or NeoForge) before adding.
04

Which mod loaders do you support?

We support Forge, Fabric and NeoForge across every Minecraft version that has an official loader build, from 1.7.10 all the way to the latest release. You can switch loaders from the panel without recreating your server.
05

Can I change modpack versions later?

Yes. Any available version of any installed modpack can be applied from the panel, whether you want to update to the latest release or roll back. We always recommend taking a backup first.
06

Can I migrate an existing modded server?

Yes. Your world folder, player data, mods, configs and scripts can all be uploaded through WebFTP or SFTP. If something will not start, our support team handles modpack migrations regularly and can take a look.
07

How long does setup take on a modded plan?

Your server is provisioned in under 2 minutes after payment. Installing a large modpack on top usually takes 1 to 5 minutes depending on the pack size. The panel shows live install progress.
08

Will my TPS drop when more players join?

TPS depends much more on the modpack and the chunks loaded than on the player count. Our Ryzen 7900 CPUs are picked for their single-thread performance, which is exactly what Minecraft uses. If you notice TPS drops, open a ticket and our team will profile the server.
09

Can I upgrade my plan without losing my world?

Yes. Upgrades are instant and keep your world, IP address, subdomain, mods, configs and player data exactly where they were. Plan changes must be at least 5 days apart.
10

Do you offer a free trial for modded?

Our free 10-day Minecraft server runs on 3 GB of RAM, which is enough to test small Fabric packs but tight for most modded experiences. For real modded use, the Ultron, Lara and Orion plans are the sweet spot.
11

What happens when I stop the server?

Your data, mods and world stay on disk between sessions. Stopping the server frees the RAM but does not delete anything. Your subdomain, IP address and panel settings persist for the full duration of your plan.
12

Can I run a modded network with multiple servers?

Yes. Run one server per plan and connect them with BungeeCord, Velocity or Waterfall. Each server can run its own modpack or a different version of the same pack.
